About
The story so far
From Enuk to Kune
Enuk Snowboards started the way most good mountain things do — out of a shed in Ohakune, between shuttle runs and hill days. It was never a big operation: boards, boots, and honest advice from people who rode every day the road was open.
Kune Snowboarding is the next chapter. As the Kune family of brands grew — bikes, shuttles, climbing — the snowboard side took the family name too. Same people, same values, one crew across every season in Ohakune.
Ruapehu is home
Everything we do points back at the mountain. Mt Ruapehu shapes this town — its weather, its seasons, its people — and Tūroa is where we test, ride, film, and fail until things work. Volcanic terrain is honest terrain: rock, ice, wind, and the occasional perfect day that makes the rest worth it.
We ride under the maunga as guests, and we take that seriously — respect for the mountain and the iwi who hold it isn't a marketing line, it's the entry fee.
Rider-first, always
No brand ambassadors who don't ride. No product decisions made off a spreadsheet. The crew who build Kune Snowboarding are the ones queuing for first chair — and the gear list starts with what we'd actually want under our own feet on a Tūroa storm day.
A rider team is coming as the brand grows. If you ride Ruapehu hard and want in early, get in touch through Instagram.
