Kune Snowboarding

Riders. Ruapehu. Real.

Built on the mountain

Kune Snowboarding is the brand formerly known as Enuk Snowboards — same crew, same mountain, sharper focus. We're based in Ohakune at the foot of Mt Ruapehu, and Tūroa is our home hill. If it's open, we're on it.

We're rider-first, always. Everything we put our name on gets ridden hard on volcanic terrain before it gets sold — wind-scoured ice in July, spring slush in October, and every deep day in between. No filler product, no mall-brand gimmicks.

Gear for snowboarders who mean it. That's the whole pitch.

The mountain

Mt Ruapehu is the North Island's biggest ski area and an active volcano — a 2,797 m stratovolcano with terrain that doesn't exist anywhere else in New Zealand. Tūroa, on the south-western slopes above Ohakune, has the country's longest vertical descent and wide-open alpine bowls that turn a storm cycle into a week of freeriding.

Ohakune is the base town: 20 minutes from the Tūroa road end, with everything you need before and after a hill day — including our whānau at Kune Bikes & Shuttles when the snow runs out.
