Schniffells: Building an Audience Before the Shelves

3 July 2026 · 4 min read

Most product brands start by launching into a void. They build the thing, print the labels, get it into a store, and then figure out that no one knows it exists. Marketing happens after the product is ready. By then, the momentum window has closed.

Schniffells is a botanical health shot — fresh ginger, turmeric, Exmoor honey, lemon juice, ACV, rosemary, cinnamon, cayenne, and a handful of other ingredients that have no business tasting as good as they do together. It's made by hand, bottled in 330ml amber glass, and produced on the moors of Exmoor in Somerset. It's not on shelves yet.

The audience is already building.

The brief was simple: the product is real, the story is good, and people who find it should want to know when they can get it. Don't build a placeholder. Build something that actually does work while the product is being prepared for launch.

The site we built leads with ingredients. Not with buzzwords, not with health claims — with the actual list of what's in it, presented the way an ingredient list deserves to be presented: clearly, proudly, in a way that makes the formulation feel like an argument. Anyone who reads the ingredient page understands immediately why this product exists.

The email capture is woven into the experience, not bolted on. There's no pop-up asking for your address before you've read a single word. The site earns the email by showing you something worth following. By the time someone submits their address, they already know what they're signing up for.

That list is Schniffells' asset. Not a platform's. Not a distributor's. A direct line to the people who already want the product, built before the product launches, on infrastructure that belongs to the brand.

When Schniffells is ready to ship, the first people who find out won't be strangers.
